Green+ weekend 2026
Dorchester
Following the success of the previous four Green Plus cycling weekends, Tom Winskill and Lisa Valentine are putting together a cycling trip for the weekend of 19 and 20 September. This is aimed at club members who cycle at a green plus pace (12-14 mph) who wish to cycle some new routes and enjoy some time socialising.
The Rides
We have a 50-mile ride on Saturday 19th September which will include two café stops. On Sunday we have a 30-mile ride with one café stop. You can view the draft routes via the links below. These may be modified following test rides later in the year.
Day 1: Dorchester - Wareham

Day 2: Dorchester to Dovecote, Moreton
The drive to Dorchester is just under two hours from Corsham so it is possible to join for either day with an early start to drive from Corsham. Rides will start from the Dorchester Premier Inn, which is close to the town centre.
Accommodation
Riders are responsible for booking their own accommodation. The Premier Inn allows bikes to be kept in rooms and although on-site parking is limited there are reasonably priced pay and display car parks nearby. Dorchester has a range of other types of accommodation including hotels, B&B and self-catering all within a short distance of the Premier Inn, so plenty of choice.
We intend to organise a meal on the Saturday night in Dorchester to socialise and celebrate riding 50 miles!
Thanks to those who have already expressed interest in this weekend. We do need to know how many people are intending to join in so we can begin to finalise arrangements.
